The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. The goal of Awana is to bring children into a relationship with God, to train them to be better servants for God, and to
increase their knowledge of the Bible. These goals are achieved through scripture memorization, council time (devotionals), and fun Awana games.
Not only is Awana for children, many parents volunteer as helpers and leaders for the Awana program.
