Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no
record of when it has been wronged. I Cor 13:4-5
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.

Vision Our philosophy for ministry comes from Ephesians 4:11-16, helping young people "grow up" into the fullness
of Jesus Christ. We want to see the young people in our church come together in a real spirit of love and unity. We want to see them develop a heart of sacrificial service. We want to see
them develop a sincere desire to dig deep into the rich resources of God's word. We want to see them make life-altering decisions that will turn their hearts from the world into a life-long service of
our Lord. We want to see them become concerned for the spiritual well being of their peers and reach out with the love of Christ to all their friends and acquaintances. We want to provide them
with an atmosphere where they can come together as a group and offer praise and worship to the Lord in their own setting. In order to realize our vision, we will focus on four crucial areas of
discipleship. Core Principles Teach youth to serve. It is important that we teach our students how to minister into the lives
of other people and provide the opportunities for them to do so. Teach youth to unify. Our youth need to be taught to love one another and express that love in word and deeds.
The more unified we are the more visiting youth will feel welcomed and a sense of belonging. Teach youth to think Biblically. The Scriptures must be at the center of a successful
youth ministry. Without a firm grasp of God's Word, our youth become prey to any and all philosophies of the world. We must teach the Word so that our young people develop their own convictions
about their faith and can stand up and defend their faith. We must teach our young people the content of God's word and how to apply it to their lives so when they are faced with decisions the word of
God becomes their basis for making those decisions. Teach youth to grow in Christ. As our youth learn God's Word and begin to unify and serve one another they will begin to mature in
Christ. We will continue to encourage and nurture that growth through prayer and personal contact. Key Programs
Sunday School Praise Moments – led by our Youth worship band, starts at 9:05, with
Middle school and High School students together. This is followed by a time of announcements and prayer. Middle School and High School students then divide for a time of teaching.
Youth Groups Middle School and High School meet together for the summer of 2007 each Sunday night from 6:00 – 8:30pm. Service Ministries We schedule a variety of service
projects throughout the year to teach our youth that it's not all about them. There's a world out there that needs to be shown the sacrificial love of Christ. Fun and Games Youth
are high energy… a time for fun provides a productive use of their energy in learning to work with one another in a social setting. |
